We Have the Keys....

So, we finally got the keys and started moving over stuff yesterday. We hadn't seen the layout of it before, so it was our first look at the inside. The kids are thrilled with it. I think it's more the idea of a new place than anything else. Chad and I, on the other hand, are conservatively excited. There are some good things, but I think our bed room, if you can believe it, is actually smaller. I wouldn't have thought that was possible. Our bedroom here is really quite small. And the kitchen is less than thrilling. I've love to talk to the person that made the floor plans and the idiot who approved them! Anyway, we're moving and moving and cleaning and all that crap. I don't know what you'll here from me much for awhile now.

Today It Begins.............

We get the keys today to our new house. This afternoon at 2:45. I am soo ready to get the move going and be done with it. It snowed all day yesterday, it's raining and windy today and it's suppose to be raining/sleeting/snowing tomorrow and Friday. The weather sure isn't cooperating with us. The next few days should be busy, busy, busy.

It's Bananas Around Here........

I opened the cupboard above my stove to pack it and there were 4 black bananas in there. Hmmmm, I know I didn't put bananas in the cupboard............I took the black, drippy bananas out just as Vance walked into the kitchen. "Oh yeah, I forgot I put those in there."

"Why did you put them in the cupboard?"

"Because I didn't want anyone to each them and I wanted you to make banana bread. Now you can make it."

"No Vance, I can't."

"Why not? I thought you needed black bananas."

"I do need ripe bananas to make bread, but I'd rather have banana bread that didn't make us all tipsy."

That's Just The Way It Is Around Here..........

Myshel is mad at me because I told her to stay out of my make-up--
Vance is mad at me because I made him clean the doggy poo out of the backyard--
McKaylie is mad at me because I told her that under her bed is NOT where her dirty laundry belongs and made her get it out--
Noah is mad at me because I put the gate up on my bedroom door so that he can't come into my bed in the middle of the night--
Nutmeg is sulking because I accidentally stepped on her--
Vanillla is upset because I yelled at her for chewing up another roll of toilet paper--
Chad is wondering why I am grumpy all the time--

Chad and I ran to the store, he didn't open my car door, when I asked him about it he said, "it's raining!?!" Apparently the rain prevents him from being a gentleman.........

We bought Noah a new winter coat, hat and gloves. They're all camouflage. He put them all on, smiled and asked, "Can you see me?"

Myshel tends to be late for seminary in the mornings, a lot. We've talked to her about it and we get a lot of complaining and "I'm tired". So we started a new rule: Every time she's late, she loses her Ipod for 2 days. (I know, I'm mean) She started being on time, but there was still a lot of complaints. However, after recieving an Ipod Touch for her birthday, she's been on time, everyday, without complaining........amazing!

Vance begged me to talk to his school counselor about changing his advisory class. I asked him why he couldn't go in and talk to them about it, his answer, "I don't want to".

McKaylie doesn't have enough time in the mornings to do all of her "morning list", which consists of, 1)Eat Breakfast 2)Brush Teeth 3)Get Dressed 4)Brush Hair 5)Say Prayers 6)Get Backpack ready 7)Chores. She does, however have time to 1) Play with the dogs 2)Watch cartoons 3)Make 20 paper snowflakes 4)Lay on the floor complaining that she doesn't have time to finish her morning list.

Vanilla will bark at anyone who comes into our house like she wants to eat them. She does this from under the table or behind my legs.

Nutmeg doesn't chew on bones or rawhide, but she doesn't want Vanilla to either. When Vanilla has one, she'll take it from her and put it in another room and leave it there.

That's just the way it is around here and I kinda like it that way...................
